I encountered a head to head battle with my dog, Foster, this morning and discovered that the Alpha Wolf in our house is not his owner. Foster was a bad boy and I attempted to discipline by emulating an Alpha Wolf bite on the back of his neck…..with my hand…..surprisingly, he transformed into the the # 1 wolf and bit me. My arm is now sore fom the tetanus shot but my hand feels better from the dressing of honey placed in the wound two hours ago. Science Daily (July 2010) states that honey kills bacteria. The protein-defensine-1-could be used to combat burns and skin infections someday. That is good news considering the resistance of antibiotics and rising health care costs.
